Special sites…

Most of last week was spent in my outdoor office with specialists looking at scrub, gorse, heathland and limestone grassland and how we can expand and restore these important habitats.

The special sites team at Tears

We started at Rhossili on Wednesday and worked our way around the coast to Mewslade.  Despite not being able to see your hand in front of your face when we started, the mist soon cleared and we ended the day in glorious sunshine.

We made lots of decisions about what was possible and practical to do, and then prioritised the areas where we would get the most benefit from our efforts.

Now all we need is the money and someone to do the work!

Pennard and Nicholaston tomorrow – and the weather is supposed to be great!
