A hill, a view and a little rest at the top!

I have been a National Trust ranger with the Gower team for just over a month now and I finally feel like Iam finding my feet and beginning to understand the complex management of the wonderful sites here. I managed to stop off at the Bulwark yesterday whilst going about my work. It is an iron age hillfort part owned by the National Trust and Llangennith Manors. It is a steep climb to the top but once you get there you can see why they chose this spot for a defensive fort.

You have the most amazing view of Gower and the sea so you could spot danger arriving from miles around, plus by the time enemies reached the top they would be so tired they wouldn’t put up much of a fight!
