Back to reality!

Its true!

I’m back …. and many thanks to all who kept things going and worked so hard whilst I was off.

Well, its been a busy 2 days back at work for the first time in 8 weeks.  With such a lot going on over the summer, catching up with all the goings on my head was full by 9am yesterday!  But still, it was nice to get back into the swing of things.

To ease me back in, Alan and I went to Rhossili to meet and walk with Geraint, a composer who was getting local stories and the feel of the landscape to put to music.  This is for a project to link and inspire people and places through landscape and music that can be accessed via your phone when out for a weekend walk.  They even have the technology to get the music to change to suit the weather – whether its sunny or stormy or even the direction you are facing! And I thought a phone was for talking to people!

Then it was on to South Pilton Green Farm to view the progress on renovations for our office move.  Lots of changes here, with heaps of rubble where buildings had been knocked down, and new walls being built.  Hopefully all will be ready for our big move on 1st November!

Back to the office for a well earned cuppa and look at emails – its not all glamour –  and then calling in to see the tree surgeons at Penmaen trimming trees under the power lines, on the way home.

Today we went to look at the Lodge rising from the sandy remains of the old.  The slab and piers are in, and the floor joists are all in place ready for the walls to be built next week.  Its looking good and we’re aiming to have it online again by March next year….weather permitting!

Another busy week ahead starting on Sunday for me, so its definitely back to reality – with a bump!
