Orchard Update

The orchard is finally completed!

It seems like quite a while since the trees went in the ground but it takes a lot of fence posts and wire to make them safe from grazing cattle and sheep and thanks to some tireless work from our volunteers these should be safe for years to come!

Cherries, apples, pears and plums have been planted – many are traditional varieties in danger of being lost as supermarkets favour only one or two specific types.

Now – time to sit back and wait for the fruit!
